The Singer

Melvin’s musical style is a distinctive brand of smooth jazzy vocals that touches the heart of people. His music sets the tone for worship and meditation.

The Songwriter

Although most of his songs are instrumental, he has written several songs. Melvin began writing early in his musical journey. His love is music behind God and Gwen.

The Musician

Melvin is a Keyboardist/Instrumentalist, favoring KORG keyboards, because of the warm sounds. Melvin pushed the envelope when he introduced his “synthesizer” to the church worship service back in the early nineties. “I guess you can say I was ahead of the times.” You may have known Melvin for playing keyboards only. Melvin loves to make instrument choices as authentic as the instrument itself, with all types of keyboard sounds, he is especially talented when it comes to simulating the guitar, wind instruments & strings sounds from the keyboard. He is inspired by artists such as Lari Goss, Cheryl Rogers, David Foster, and Ben Tankard to name a few.

The Producer

“I love producing soundtracks for artists who can’t find pre-recorded music, or they are working on putting together a musical project.  Though I can produce any genre of music, versatility is my strength.  I love to take a song and turn it into your vision of music.  I will create your music from scratch, or an idea in your head.  If you have started a rough idea and have a beat around your lyrics, I love to take that and create something beautiful and inspiring.”

The Composer/Arranger

Melvin is a composer, an Arranger. He is highly experimental, incorporating his unique contemporary music style without losing the original melody (for example, hymns).

The Recording Artist

Over the years, Melvin has released over six professional recordings.  A few are no longer in production, however at times those recordings have been requested and he has made special provisions to make them available.  You can now hear all Melvin’s recordings as well as new music releases on this website.
